I want to ensure this isn't a "flash in the pan" before...

...making that type of investment. In the mean time, I'll enjoy riding my old chrome-molly framed bike. It has a very responsive frame geometry, so it's a pleasure to wheel through the neighborhood. Not sure how far I'll be able to ride it. 50 miles whipped my butt, but I know my cadence was too low. I'm correcting that now, so hopefully I'll be able to wheel 60+ miles in a few weeks...especially with cooler temperatures.

The Triathletes flew past me, but I held my own with all of the "average" cyclists. That was after only two weeks on the bike. I'll have several additional weeks and 300+ more miles under my belt before going for 60. If that goes well, may shoot for 70 before it gets too cold this year.
